#1 We found an apartment !
Here in Sydney there are a few apartments for lease but also a lot of people moving to the city. As a result, you have to line up for inspections and hand in a lot of application forms: it's not that easy to get the perfect flat you saw on the ad. Well we were lucky enough to meet the building manager and the landlord directly, in front of the building. And here we are now one month later sitting in our own living room. Our own *huge* living room!
#2 I got a job !
It took me about 35 cover letters and a few interviews since the end of March but I finally found the perfect job. Easy guess, I'll be working in software development using .Net and SQL - which by the way is pronounced "sequel". It's quite a change from my last job though: when we're are at the office, it's work work work! This means people only take a 30mn break for lunch and they hardly talk to each other... On the bright side the office is empty at 5pm :)
